The Visual Arts program for Semester One has allowed students at St Michael’s CPS to develop their skills using a great variety of resources as inspiration – class themes, school themes (Anzac Day), literature, famous artists and art history. Students have been exploring a diverse range of artistic mediums, encompassing both 3D and 2D forms. A gallery of student artwork will be on display throughout the year in the school library so please take the time to view these with your child.

Mrs Constantine has had the opportunity of taking part in professional development with a network of Visual Arts teachers from within Bunbury and surrounding areas. As professional development opportunities specific to Visual Arts are difficult to find, this network group aims to be a source of information and learning for all involved, as teachers share their knowledge and skills with each other. What a wonderful opportunity for Mrs Constantine and the students of St Michael’s who will no doubt benefit with the opportunity to explore a wider range of visual arts mediums and curriculum aligned content.

An ANZAC Commemorative Banner was created by the Year 5 & 6 Class.

Congratulations to all St Michael's students on another spectacular and creative year! The student's artwork made for a colourful display at this year's Brunswick show.
